Well we suppose you have tried to find some improvements for enhancing the game and that you've been quite lost between all the packs and mods available ? Don't worry, it's normal, we'll give you some advices about what to install at start !
Here's the battle plan:
1. Check your Mount&Blade version
2. Improve Mount&Blade graphics and sounds
3. Above and beyond: Total conversion mods
So let's get to details:
1. Check your Mount&Blade version :
First thing to do before improving the basic M&B is to check which game version you have, if you just downloaded latest version it should be 1.011. Are you using the latest version? Ok let's continue !
2. Improve Mount&Blade graphics and sounds :
Here's a list that we assembled from the best enhancement packs made by modders. It will improve your native Mount&Blade graphics, replace sounds with better ones, and even increase the maximum number of units you can see in combat. It's a kind of "must have pack" for starting playing M&B.
It is a good start to play the classic Mount&Blade game with this pack that will add a more polished feeling, before trying total conversions mods that change classic gameplay.
Here's the list :
- Graphical Enhancement 2.5 (improves graphics and adds effects)
- Battle Size Changer (Allow to increase maximum on units shown in a battle, you can select the limit according to your PC specifications)
- Cries of War Soundpack (improves sounds)
3. Above and beyond: Total conversion mods :
When you'll get used to the game and will want to experience new types of gameplay, then the total conversion mods are there for you! On our site click on "addons" in the download section in the left menu. Then you will be able to browse various mods created by cthe community and sort them by Era or Types... Now it's your time to play! |
